The Inspire Retreat
Are you happy with where you are in your business or have you found that you need some inspiration and guidance to take everything to the next level? Like most photographers, I’ve always strived to improve, to make my business stronger every year. I’ve been doing this for 9 years and have learned so much along the way. What works, what doesn’t, and how to teach what I know to others. To you. Come along on this journey with me and be inspired to be better. We’ll talk, make new friends, work and eat lots! We’ll also photograph some amazing styled models and sceneries! This weekend is going to be all about turning your business into what you dream it to be.
The Inspire Retreat
July 19th-21st, 2019. We will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and end at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Redding, Ca., near Shasta Lake
(You will want to fly into the Sacramento or Redding airport)
I have owned my own business for 8 years and have run Blush for the past 2 years. I have photographed celebrities, had photos and articles published in magazines, been on the cover of magazines and mentored countless photographers. I have taught posing, editing and learning how to shoot in manual. But my passion is teaching you how to run your business better. I have always been an open book, whether that is to the person just learning how to use their camera or to the photographer that wants to learn how to rock that next senior session in my own town. We aren’t competition to each other. There is a place for each of us. We each have our own unique style and we bring to the table who we are. So let’s learn together and help each other.
An amazing experience that will leave you inspired to be a better photographer and person. This retreat isn’t just about posing or branding, although those will be covered. This time together is about inspiring you in ways that will leave you feeling like you can make your dreams come true. That you can be the photographer you want to be. I want you to walk away feeling inspired to be that photographer you know you can be, but just don’t know quite how to get there. We’re going to push each other. And it will start before the retreat.
A private facebook group that will have assignments for you to complete before the retreat even starts. You’ll be doing homework months before the retreat starts so that you come fully prepared. It won’t matter what level of photographer you are. We all start somewhere. When you show up at the retreat, you’ll be ready to get down to work.
Lodging in a beatiful home that will meet all of our needs! What does that translate to? A bed for everyone, a kitchen large enough to prep lots of yummy food, space for everyone to stretch out and relax! You work hard and this time is for you to continue that work, but also to have some much deserved down time!
All meals are included, including LOTS and LOTS of snacks!
The charming farmhouse we’re staying in has 40 acres of land to go with it! A stream, wrap around porch, picnic table amongst the trees and a swing. Dream it, and we can do it! We will be photographing a styled family, boys at the creek, girls in beautiful dresses and a picnic table full of details and imagination!

What Will be Taught:
Posing-How to go from posed to the unposed
Branding your business-knowing who you are so your clients will too
Editing workflow-from RAW to a finished image
Walking clients through from first contact to delivered images/products
Pricing Basics and how to implement them for YOU
Finding the Light
Helping clients with styling
Marketing pieces to send to clients
We’ll have an open forum each night to share anything and everything on your mind!
Airfare to the retreat
Transportation to the house from the airport and back. (I will be able to help some for the airport, depending on times, but not all. We can coordinate all of this in the private fb group!) I will also be able to fit some in my van for the styled shoots, but not everyone.
Total cost of the retreat is $450.00
Deposit to hold your seat is $200.00.
Once your deposit is paid, you may pay the balance in one of 2 ways. You may either pay the balance in 2 additional, equal payments of $125.00 (due in April and June) or you may pay the balance in full by June 10th. Not paying the balance by June 10th may cause you to forfeit your seat. You will be invoiced and payments must be made on time. Deposit and payments are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the retreat, you can sell your seat to someone else.
